Sie ist väterlicherseits die Enkelin des berühmten auf Telugu singenden karnatischen Sängers und GurusSripada Pinakapaani und wurde von ihrer Mutter T. Padmhasini, einer Musikwissenschaftlerin und Sängerin, in karnatischer Musik und klassischer Hindustani-Musik unterrichtet. Nach ihrer frühen Kindheit zog Sripada nach Chennai, wo sie bis zum 10. Lebensjahr auf die Children’s Garden School ging. Danach schrieb sie sich an der Hindu Senior Secondary School ein und setzte ihre Ausbildung nach der 10. Klasse mit Heimstudien fort.
