The art of hustle, however, is anything but simple.
There’s rules to this shit and Yo Gotti, born May 19, , wrote the manual with his eighth studio album, The Art of Hustle.
“What’s the strategy of being a successful hustler,” Gotti asks. “Your family is straight and being able to switch careers before you run out of time. You can make all the money in the world but if you don’t have the exit route you failed the art of hustle. The goal is to take care of your family forever and be stable.”

Gotti’s instincts as a hustler were honed right where he laid his hat: in the house. The Memphis rapper grew up in a home of hustlers, six to be exact. His mother and aunts pushed weight when he was a toddler and he saw things that weren’t the result of youthful indiscretions—trouble was on his front porch.

He went on to release From da Dope Game 2 da Rap Game (), Self-Explanatory (), Life (), Back 2 da Basics (), Live from the Kitchen (), I Am (), The Art of Hustle (), I Still Am (), Untrapped (), and CM Free Game ().
Gotti founded the record label Collective Music Group (CMG) in , which has gone on to sign successful acts including Moneybagg Yo, 42 Dugg, Blac Youngsta, GloRilla, EST Gee, and Mozzy.

[edit]Mario grew up in Ridgecrest Apartments in the Frayser neighborhood of Memphis, Tennessee.[6] He began his music career around the age of 14, rapping as Lil Yo, affiliated with DJ Sound and his crew.[2] Between and , Yo Gotti released a string of independent albums: From da Dope Game 2 da Rap Game (), Self-Explanatory (), Life (), and Back 2 da Basics ().[7][8]
