Tournoi de Paris (judo)
Le tournoi de Paris de judo, aussi appelé Paris Grand Slam est une compétition de judo international majeur organisée annuellement au mois de février.
Histoire
[modifier | modifier le code]De la première édition, qui a lieu le , à la seizième se déroulant en 1987, le tournoi est exclusivement masculin. À partir de 1988, des catégories féminines sont organisées pour suivre la dynamique de réunion des tournois féminin et masculin dans un seul et même rendez-vous[1]. Alors qu'il se disputait traditionnellement au Stade Pierre-de-Coubertin depuis sa création, le tournoi déménage à l'occasion de l'édition 2000 au Palais omnisports de Paris-Bercy dont la capacité peut être portée à 18 000 spectateurs. Lors de la rénovation du Palais omnisports de Paris-Bercy, le tournoi est reporté à et inaugure l'AccorHotels Arena (nouveau nom). Le tournoi prend à cette occasion le nom de Grand Slam de Paris.
Organisé par la Fédération française de judo, le Grand Slam Paris est un événement majeur dans le calendrier international du fait de son label « super coupe du monde » (ou super A). Dans une année olympique, il est l'un des tournois qualificatifs pour le rendez-vous organisé tous les quatre ans. Depuis 2009, ce tournoi fait partie de
