Marzuk Russell (born 15 August 1973) is a Bangladeshi poet, lyricist, model, and actor. He made his television debut in the TV play Ayna Mohol directed by Mostofa Sarwar Farooki.[1] He got mainstream acclaim after the self-titled role in the film Bachelor in 2004.[2] Since then he acted in many television dramas and worked for numerous television commercials. Marzuk also appeared on several music videos, such as Ghuri Tumi Kar Akashe Oro (2012),[3]Smrity Katha (2017)[4] etc.
Early life
[edit]Marzuk Russell was born on August 15, 1973, in his mother's village at Gopalganj District, Bangladesh.[5] He grew up in Daulatpur, Khulna. His father worked at a jute mill in Khulna. He attended Govt. Krishnamohan Primary School; after elementary school, his father decided to enroll him in a madrasa.[citation needed]
In 1993, he moved to Dhaka.[6]

Nadia: I have wrapped up tele-fictions titled Shantona De, Ringmasterer Ghora, Home Minister and Back to Bachelor. Other than that, I have done an Eid special TV serial called High Pressure 2. I have also worked with directors Sajal Arefin and Tushaar Khan. I can't reveal the names of their shows just yet.
What types of roles are you playing in these Eid special TV shows?
Nadia: I am playing a poor ringmaster's wife in Ringmasterer Ghora. In Shantona De, I am portraying a dimwitted girl. Meanwhile, in High Pressure 2, I am playing a sister who is always worried about her brother's high blood pressure. So, the audience will see me playing a wide range of characters.
